Your guide, Elvis, will pick you up from your accommodation (if transportation is included). Enjoy a comfortable drive to the trailhead. FREE pickup is available within Laudat only.

7:30 AM

Arrive at the Trailhead

Meet at the Titou Gorge Trailhead in Laudat for a safety briefing, trail overview, and final gear check before beginning the hike.

8:00 AM

Rainforest Ascent

Begin your trek through Dominica's lush tropical rainforest, surrounded by towering trees, vibrant flora, and the sounds of native birds.

9:00 AM

Breakfast River

Take a short break at Breakfast River to rest, hydrate, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before continuing the climb.

9:45 AM

Morne Nicholls Summit

Reach one of the highest points of the hike and take in breathtaking panoramic views of Dominica's mountainous interior.

10:15–10:30 AM

Valley of Desolation

Descend into the spectacular Valley of Desolation, where steaming fumaroles, bubbling mud pools, colourful mineral deposits, and sulphur vents create an unforgettable volcanic landscape.

11:00–11:30 AM

Boiling Lake

Arrive at the world-famous Boiling Lake, the second-largest boiling lake on Earth. Take time to admire this incredible natural wonder, capture photos, enjoy a snack, and learn about the area's unique geology.

12:00 PM

Return Journey Begins

Start the hike back through the Valley of Desolation. Along the way, relax in a warm or cool natural mineral pool (weather permitting) and optionally swim at Titou Gorge before heading back.

Afternoon

Return Hike

Enjoy a different perspective on the trail as you descend through the rainforest, with plenty of opportunities for photos and wildlife spotting.

Return to Your Hotel

After an unforgettable day exploring one of Dominica's most iconic natural wonders, Elvis will drive you back to your accommodation. Celebrate your achievement and take home memories that will last a lifetime!
