Born and raised in Laudat — the village nearest to Morne Trois Pitons National Park — Elvis Stedman has been guiding hikers to the Boiling Lake since 1996, before tour guide certification was even established in Dominica. He didn't wait for a certificate to tell him what he already knew. He is not just a guide. He is a certified botanist, a safety expert, a cultural storyteller, and a man who once carried an injured stranger off the mountain because that's simply who he is.
First Steps on the Trail
Born and raised in Laudat — the gateway village to Morne Trois Pitons National Park — Elvis began guiding hikers to the Boiling Lake in 1996, before tour guide certification was even established in Dominica.
Becoming a Certified Guide
When Dominica introduced official tour guide certification, Elvis was among the first to receive his Government ID card — formalising over a decade of experience he had already built on the trail.

Word spread internationally. Adventure travelers from Europe, North America, and beyond began specifically seeking Elvis for his encyclopedic knowledge of the trail.
